CD/SACD Tab layout



Waveforms



Half Waveforms display (MT1228):



New option under menu View>waveform display>Show Half Waveform / Origin



Allows users to display the waveform relative to the bottom of the clip (useful for mixing)



Clips menu entry: Added Keyboard shortcuts for Background and Waveform Colors



Monitor Panel

The Monitoring Panel is now available from the Monitor Menu. Shortcuts can easily be assigned to each

parameter for control.



Interchange Improvements



The AAF import now includes a new option “Use UTF-8 conversion to import Links/Locators Path

Names”. This allows converting the referenced path names (called Locators in AAF/OMF) using UTF-8

coding. This was the default previously and works in most cases, but we leave the option for some

imports that could be problematic without.



We now export Copies to a "Audio Files" folder instead of a “Media Files” folder



Clips names in timeline or some DAW (ProTools) are note the "clips names" of the Pyramix Timeline

but the master clip name. We have resolved this but it implies a larger files generated if multiple clips

with different names share the same media



Fade in/out were linear



Supports only Power and Linear fades (AAF limitation)



Now correctly when re-importing in Pyramix but seems having no effect on some other DAW



Source Destination



Three new menus have been added in Edit > Source-Destination:



Automation Unchanged for Source Track Groups



Automation Off for Source Track Groups (this mode will also affects the Enable

Cut/Copy/Paste Automation mode (set to Off for Source Tracks)



Automation Play for Source Track Groups (this mode will also affects the Enable

Cut/Copy/Paste Automation mode (set to Off for Source Tracks)



FLAC decoding (MT3631)



Decoded with the DS Handler (bit transparent).



Install the latest Flac distribution in Program Files/FLAC see download link below

Pyramix will use this distribution to decompress all .flac files



Third Party ReNOVAtor:



A new ReNOVAtor Renderer version (2.2.1.1615) from the Algorithmix team that fixes a memory

issue for a given selection is now available.



When lacking memory ReNOVAtor should now come up with an “Out of Memory in ReNOVAtor,

selection too long” error instead of Crashing. You will then have to make a smaller selection in order

to perform such a Render.



For installation, make sure that Pyramix is closed and simply run the installer corresponding to the

dongle you use (this will replace the previous version).



DMA overload



We now indicate in the Core section (bottom of Pyramix GUI) if a DMA overload occurred. The text in

such case will be a blinking red DMA indication



DolbyE Encoding/Decoding (option)



New SurCode Dolby E Decoder and Encoder VST keys. No longer need for Minnetonka & iLok



Dolby E can be authorized through a Merging VST Key



Users will need first launch VST scanner and scan the folder path below

”C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\Merging Technologies” in order for the SurCode Dolby E

Decoder and Encoder VSTs to be available.
